These terms and conditions may be modified at any time and such modification shall be effective immediately upon web posting of the modified terms and conditions. Your continued use of this section of the Site shall be deemed to be your conclusive acceptance of the modified terms and conditions.

You must not use the Site to conduct, display or forward details of any survey, contest, pyramid scheme or chain letter;
YCH reserves the right to remove any content from any page without notice at its sole discretion;
You must not attempt to modify, adapt, translate, sell, reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any portion of the Site or any other web Site;
You must not attempt to bypass the network firewall;
You must not use any part of the Site which you are not authorised to use or devise ways to circumvent security in order to access part of the Site which you are not authorised to access. This includes but is not limited to scanning networks with the intent to breach and/or evaluate security, whether or not the intrusion results in access;
You must not use or attempt to use the Site for any unlawful, criminal or negligent purpose. This includes but is not limited to password cracking, social engineering (defrauding others into releasing their passwords), denial-of-service attacks, harmful and malicious destruction of data, injection of computer viruses and intentional invasion of privacy.
Fundraising Site Policy
Sponsors of Fundraising Site
We reserve the right to refuse to put our name or logo in the same communication or be seen to be associated in any way with corporate sponsors whose interests/behavior are in contravention with YCH's humanitarian principles.
Age Restriction for Use of “Fundraise for Yan Chai Hospital”
You must be at least 18 years of age to set up “Fundraise for Yan Chai Hospital” pages.
If you have any concerns whatsoever about a child’s use of our services, please notify us immediately by emailing us at corpcom@yanchai.org.hk or alternatively telephoning us on 3467 2101.
Fundraising Activities - For Supporters
If you wish to set up a fundraising activity for YCH, you shall first submit details of such fundraising activity to YCH for prior approval. Once approved, YCH will allow you access to a webpage dedicated for your proposed fundraising activity. Any change to the approved fundraising activity shall be subject to prior approval in writing of YCH.
Each fundraising page must communicate the following points to donors:
- The name of the supporter and the relevant fundraising activity;
- The supporter shall perform the relevant fundraising activity. YCH is not involved in the fundraising activity;
- Supporter is solely responsible for his/her fundraising activity and shall use his/her best endeavours to complete the fundraising activity, but non-completion for whatever reason shall not affect the donation made by the donors.
It is your responsibility to obtain all necessary permits, licenses and insurance, if required, for organizing the fundraising activity. We cannot facilitate online fundraising for anybody wishing to fundraise anonymously. YCH makes no representation or warranty as to the suitability and/or appropriateness of any fundraising activity;
YCH may review the contents of a fundraising page for compliance. YCH expressly reserves the right to suspend a fundraising page in the event that YCH, in its sole discretion, deems the fundraising activity unsuitable or inappropriate.
You are welcome to report on our work on your fundraising page to raise public awareness of the populations in danger. However, you are required to send us in advance any report/article/promotional material in which our name is being mentioned. This will enable us to update you on any latest developments and help to ensure that the outgoing information about our work is accurate.
It must also be made clear that the spokesperson for any fundraising activity organized by supporters speaks only for such fundraising activity, but not for YCH unless that spokesperson is from YCH or has been chosen by YCH to act in such capacity.
As YCH's logo and name are registered trademarks, if you plan to use them on your fundraising page, we will need to know how/when/in what context they are being used. The logo and name should be used for the benefit of YCH and any use should be approved by YCH in advance.
You agree to indemnify and hold YCH harmless against and in respect of any and all claims, demands, losses, costs, expenses, obligations, liabilities, damages, recoveries, and deficiencies, including interest, penalties and reasonable legal fees that may be incurred or suffered by YCH which arise, result from or relate to your fundraising activity.
Fundraising Activities - For Donors
Donors should understand that:
- Each fundraising page is prepared by an individual supporter, and shows the supporter's proposed fundraising activity;
- There is no guarantee that the proposed fundraising activity can be or will be completed or substantially completed, although each supporter is required to use his/her best endeavours to do so;
- Your donation to YCH is independent and is not conditioned upon completion of the relevant fundraising activity;
- Each individual supporter is solely responsible for his/her fundraising activity and in no circumstances will YCH be liable for any loss or damages, whether direct or indirect, arising out of or in connection with the relevant fundraising activity or its non-completion.
Copyright Policy
Copyright in the text, images, software, logos, icons, sound recordings and HTML code, content and other copyright material in the Site is owned or licensed by YCH for use on the Site.
The Site contains material which is owned by or licensed to us, and is protected by intellectual property law. This material includes, but is not limited to, the design, layout, look, appearance and graphics of the Site. Reproduction of this material is prohibited other than for your own personal, non-commercial use, provided that the material is not altered in any way and no trademark, copyright mark or other proprietary notice is removed from the material in question. No other use of material on the Site is permitted other than with the express written permission of the copyright holder;
Unauthorised use of the Site may give to a claim for damages and/or be a criminal offence.

You agree not to use an invalid or unauthorised credit card. Once a donation is made, the transaction is final and not subject to dispute unless unauthorised use of your payment card is proved. If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card, or if it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card issuer in accordance with its reporting rules.

Neither we nor any third parties provide any warranty or guarantee as to the accuracy, timeliness, performance, completeness or suitability of the information and materials found or offered on the Site for any particular purpose.
